After ultrasonic cleaning, instruments are scrubbed, rinsed, and securely packaged.
Packaged instruments are then sterilized in an autoclave machine using high-temperature steam for 20 minutes.
A 30-minute cooling period follows before the instruments are retrieved and returned to use.
